Kingsteignton travelled to Harbertonford for their SDFL Divison one fixture, Kingsteignton started brightly but found themselves a goal down, When a Fords midfielder broke the offside trap and just beat Kingsteignton's Russell Faulkner to the ball 25 yards out just before half time.
The second half Kingsteignton applied more pressure to Harbertonford's back four, which soon paid off after Jack Smiths' shot was tipped onto the crossbar, Ian Cornock was on hand to lash the rebound into the back of the net. Both sides had their chances to win the match. Fords best chance came when they hit the post and Steve Payne cleared it on the line. Kingsteignton could have won the match in the dying minutes Rik Reynolds knocked the ball to substitute Paul Russell in the middle of the 6 yard box and he smashed it towards the open net, but somehow the keeper came from nowhere to get something on it.
Both teams will be looking to go one better next week as the two teams meet a broadpark.
