Kingsteignton Res 7 Brixham United Res 2
Kingsteignton Athletic Reserves hosted Brixham United reserves with a huge score to settle after being hammered 6-1 at Haydock Lane earlier in the season. Kingsteignton started quickly with Joe Edworthy latching onto a shot from Liam Price, they then went 2-0 up after Ashley Beetschen headed in from a corner. Kingsteignton went in at half time 2-0 up but not cruising, Brixham battled hard and looked dangerous from set pieces. The second half started well for Kings after Jason Miller finished superbly after some neat build up started by himself. Kings then went four up after Joe Edworthy beat two defenders and coolly finished after latching onto a great cross from deep. Ashley Beetschen got his brace and made it five after after the hour with the pick of the days goals, Brixham came back into the game after pushing players forward scoring two in quick succession. Kings rebuilt there lead when Curtis Beetschen made it six scoring directly from a corner. With ten minutes remaining Joe Edworthy scored his hat-trick after a poor backpass was intercepted to make it 7-2 to Kingsteignton Athletic. a good hardworking performance from everyone and a great way to end the year.
