Kingsteignton Res 7 Brixham United Res 2

Kingsteignton Athletic Reserves hosted Brixham United reserves with a huge score to settle after being hammered 6-1 at Haydock Lane earlier in the season. Kingsteignton started quickly with Joe Edworthy latching onto a shot from Liam Price, they then went 2-0 up after Ashley Beetschen headed in from a corner. Kingsteignton went in at half time 2-0 up but not cruising, Brixham battled hard and looked dangerous from set pieces. The second half started well for Kings after Jason Miller finished superbly after some neat build up started by himself. Kings then went four up after Joe Edworthy beat two defenders and coolly finished after latching onto a great cross from deep. Ashley Beetschen got his brace and made it five after after the hour with the pick of the days goals, Brixham came back into the game after pushing players forward scoring two in quick succession. Kings rebuilt there lead when Curtis Beetschen made it six scoring directly from a corner. With ten minutes remaining Joe Edworthy scored his hat-trick after a poor backpass was intercepted to make it 7-2 to Kingsteignton Athletic. a good hardworking performance from everyone and a great way to end the year.

East Allington Res 5 Kingsteignton Res 0

Kingsteignton Athletic Reserves failed to raise a side to play second from bottom East Allington Reserves so travelled with only eight which meant both managers who have played very little all season had to play, Kingsteignton played as a unit and managed to go in at half time 0-0 the second half started much the same as time went on Kingsteignton got tired and with three pairs of fresh legs from East Allington's first team Kingsteignton ended up on the end of an un flattering 5-0 defeat, though on a positive note, Kingsteignton may be able to avenge this defeat when East Allington visit broadpark later in the season.

Kingskerswell & Chelston 3 Kingsteignton Ath 1

For the second week running Kingskerswell and Chelston were playing against Kingsteignton Athletic, Kingsteignton welcomed back Gareth Law from a 6 week ban, but were without Keeper Jamie Howarth and Robert Kerr, so had to play with a weakened side, but still a side capable of winning at home, Kingsteignton had numerous early opportunities including a Matt Joy freekick which struck the bar from around 30yds. HMPS Channings Wood 4 Kingsteignton Res 1

Kingsteignton Athletic Reserves were away to prison side Channings Wood, Kingsteignton played below par and ended up losing 4-1 after taking the lead in the first 10 minutes through a spectatular Liam Price volley. A hat-trick from Aaron Cole was the highlight for Channings Wood

Kingsteignton Res 1 - Harbertonford 1

With no first team game,Kingsteignton Athletic reserves faced undefeated Harbertonford with a full strength side with first team inclusions Matt Joy, Sven Johannson, Daniel Chilcott, Louis Hughes and Liam Dore Kingsteignton Rik Reynolds scored midway through the first half and looked dominent, Kingsteignton played some great football but failed to convert opportunities into goals. the second half Harbertonford came back into the game but keeper Russell Faulkner really kept the side in the game until the last Minute when Harbertford scored from a looping header which deceived everyone.

Stoke Gabriel 0 - Kingsteignton Athletic 0

Kingsteignton Athletic reserves travelled to top of the league Stoke Gabriel reserves, with the return of key players Rik Reynolds and Russ Williams, but without top scorer Liam Price who picked up ankle injury in last weeks cup defeat. The game was end to end throughout and 0-0 was a highly unpredictable scoreline both teams had opportunities but neither side did enough in front of goal to warrant all three points, Kingsteignton were pleased with a point knowing the match could have gone both ways.

Kingsteignton Res 2 Waldon Ath Res 3

The third round of the Fred Hewings Cup could not have started any worse for Kingsteignton Athletic reserves who found themselves 2-0 down in the first 5 minutes of the game, Missing 5 regular starters Alan Froom had to play many players where they were not most comfortable, Mike Sanders scored a late brace but Waldon held on for the victory. Kingsteignton players know they will need to improve in the upcoming weeks as next they travel to top of the league Stoke Gabriel reserves.

Brixham Villa 1 - Kingsteignton Athletic 1

Kingsteignton Athletic travelled to last seasons champions Brixham Villa, like there game two weeks previous the game finished all square with a 1-1 draw, Kingsteignton have now moved up to 5th in the Premier division.

Galmton United Res 4 - Kingsteignton Res 0

Kingsteignton Athletic Reserves were beaten by 4-0 by Galmpton United Reserves at Clennon Valley, Kingsteignton started the game well but as soon as they went 1-0 down they seemed to lose heart in themselves. Kings went in at half time 3-0 after failing to take numerous chances to get back into the game, the second half was a determined effort from Kingsteignton but Galmpton battled right to the final whistle to keep a clean sheet.

Kingsteignton Athletic welcomed back last seasons top scorer Robert Kerr from holiday who immediately made an impact on the team by scoring his fourth goal of the season, Kingsteignton were without first choice goalkeeper Jamie Howarth so Sean Hunter played his first game for the first team as well as Nathan Isaacs also making his home debut since joining from Buckfastleigh Kingsteignton won the match 3-2

Kingsteignton Res 3 - South Brent 3

Kingsteignton started the game in very lively fashion, South Brent didn't know what to do until a quick break down the wing rocked the home side as they went down 1-0 after 15 minutes. Liam price was then brought down in the area and Rick Reynolds hammered the penalty in to bring Kingsteignton level, though it didnt last as within a minute South Brent retook the lead through some sloppy defending. Liam Price re-equalised with some slick footwork to beat two defenders and the goalkeeper. The second half was end to end. Kingsteignton for a third time fell behind this time from some poor marking from a corner. Kingsteignton kept battling when Liam Price found the net for the fouth time this season, with a shot form a near impossible angle. Kingsteignton again showed great courage and a will to fight for every point.

Chagford 1 - Kingsteignton Athletic 0

Kingsteignton Athletic travelled to league leaders Chagford without numerous key players, though it didnt show the game was an even contest but was settled by a 30 metre strike Chagford have now moved four points clear at the top of the league.

Kingsteignton Res 0 Stoke Gabriel 2

Kingsteignton Athletic Reserves again proved they can compete with the best teams in division two, but some slick play by Stoke Gabriel Reserves lead to an early game for 70 minutes the game was evenly matched with Kingsteignton having a goal disallowed as neither the referee or linesman could decide if the ball had crossed the line. Kingsteignton again let slip late on giving away their 5th penalty in 4 games. Kingsteignton Athletic reserves now face South Brent on saturday 3rd November 2.00 Kick Off

HMPS Channings Wood 3 Kingsteignton Res 3

Kingsteignton Athletic Reserves came f rom 3-1 down to rescue a point late on against a very tough Channings Wood prison side. Kingsteignton couldn't find a pattern to there play in the first half and were dominated all over the pitch, keeper Russell Faulkner was kept extremely busy and made some fantastic stops. The second half started in similar fashion conceding a goal from the penalty spot. Though as the game went on Kingsteignton grew in confidence when in the last 15 minutes Joe Edworthy scored from a goalline scramble. The game continued to swing from end to end before Kurtis Marshall found the back of the net from a 30yd lob which left the keeper stranded, Kingsteignton Athletic and Channings Wood were both happy with a point knowing that either team could have won or lost the game.

Kingsteignton Athletic battled hard against the reigning champions Brixham Villa. Sven Johannson opened the scoring, and Kings looked set to win the game until Brixham scored from a free kick with the last kick of the game. Kingsteignton will be pleas the with their start to the season whihc currently sees them in fourth place in the SDFL Premier divison

Kingsteignton Reserves 3 Victoria Rangers 0

Kingsteignton Athletic reserves took a much needed confidence boost with a 3-0 victory over Victoria Rangers reserves in the Fred Hewings cup 2nd Round. Kingsteignton started brightly but didn't take the chances which had presented themselves until Rob Kerr opened the scoring with a fantastic solo effort, the second half was a little cagey with Rangers theatening though the opening 10 minutes until Mike Sanders shot took a big defliction on its way to the back of the net. Liam Price finished a good day for Kings with 10 minutes to go Kingsteignton now go into the last 16 draw, where they will be hoping to avoid high flying Paignton Villa Reserves. Elsewhere the favorites Upton Athletic reserves were hammered by Bishopsteignton Athleic reserves 5-1.

Kingsteignton Athletic Reserves found it difficult to compete with a strong Landon side. Lee Brimecombe scored for Kingsteignton Athletic reserves just before half time. Landon drew level with a controversial penalty which was calmly slotted away by Ian Tyson. before an 80th minute goalline scramble winner by Jamie Dodge which has moved Langdon upto third just behind Paignton Villa and Stoke Gabriel Reserves.

Gareth Law netted a superb hat-trick for Kingsteignton Athletic in their stunning 7-2 home win over East Allington United. Law's treble was complimented by strikes from Mike Sanders (2), Rob Kerr and Nick Garrett, while United's replies came from John Davis and an own goal.
