Kingsteignton travelled to Loddiswell for the opening game of the season, Kingsteignton started brightly but found themselves a goal down early on, the goal came from nowhere a long range lob which dipped at just the right time, Ian Cornock levelled for Kings midway through the first half after outpacing the Loddiswell defence and chipping the diving Loddiswell keeper.
Loddiswell re-took the lead late on in the first half, Russ Faulkner parried an inital shot into the path of the waiting Loddiswell striker. The second half Kingsteignton pressed further up the field but found themselves 4-1 down after some sloppy defending and a wicked deflection, Kingsteignton pulled a goal back late on again Ian Cornock finding the net during a goalline scramble. Russ Faulkner also saved a penalty in the last minute of the match.
