Kingsteignton Ath 0 - NA Spurs 2

Kingsteignton Welcomed Newton Abbot Spurs reserves to Broadpark in the first local derby of the season, Newton Spurs started the better of the two sides and dominated possession, Kingsteignton had the better of the chances though, Ian Cornock had a chance to take the lead after some neat work by Gareth Law but his shot was blocked on the line whilst Spurs keeper was stranded out of his goal.
Kingsteignton had other chances to take the lead, Rik Reynolds hitting the side netting. Spurs took the lead after half an hour a superb strike from the edge of the area lobbing debut keeper Andy Lowe, Kings could have levelled on half time but Deyoung's diving header going inches wide. The second half was a little more subdued with neither side creating too many opportunities to note, Spurs sealed the game after 75 minutes when some sloppy defending was punished by Mitchell Symes.
