After last weeks humiliating defeat to local rivals Teign Village Kingsteignton looked to bounce back in a early season must win game between the two basement teams in the league.
Kingsteignton started the match the better side and created several early chances, Ashley Beetschen opened the scoring after 15minutes, slotting into the bottom corner, after strike partner Lee Ranson's inch perfect assist. Kingsteignton had a few chances to double their lead in the first half, The visitors were looking threatening every time they attacked and Lee Ranson almost doubled his side's lead but struck his shot just wide after shaking off the challenge in the box. The second half both teams battled hard and the game was more open Kingsteignton had some good chances but lacked confidence in front of goal, Ashley Beetschen had the best opening but drove his strike inches wide of the top corner, Patrick Karkeek also rattled the bar from just inside the oppositions half, Craig Pidwell settled the game late on, Charlie Tuckers throw in finding Pidwell who beat the defence and slotted calmly past the East Allington keeper.
