Totnes & Darts 4 Kingsteignton Ath 3

(Taken from Herald Express), Totnes & Dartington Reserves also gave their hopes of avoiding the drop a boost as they beat Kingsteignton Athletic 4-3. Despite the array of goals, Kingsteignton secretary Philip Baker says the match was anything but a thriller. "You could argue from the scoreline that it was an exciting game, but it certainly wasn't – it was awful," he said. "It was the worst performance I've seen from two teams all season." Doubles from player-manager Darren Fisher and Jamie Newton took the Tots to victory, with Matt Joy (2) and Mike Sanders replying. Both teams finished the match with ten men – Kingsteignton's Darren Gibson was the first to receive his marching orders in the 70th minute while Lewis Horton went for an early bath five minutes from time.
